News in Nuba
Here we continuously add news and new features.
Most of these are requested by our customers. If there’s a feature you’re missing or something that could work better, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re truly grateful for your ideas on improvements.
Absence Notification by Email
A new feature is now available that sends emails to administrators and managers when a user checks in at an absence location. When the user checks out, a new email is generated to notify that they have returned to work.
You can enable this feature under Settings->Modules. Then, select which absence locations should generate emails and which admins/managers should receive these emails.
Here’s what a return-to-work notification might look like:
Return to Work
Person: Petter Strömberg
Company: Karpet AB
Reason for Absence: Sick
From: 2026-03-16 09:29
Last Day of Absence: 2026-03-16 09:29
User filter for group managers
Group managers can currently edit time entries for the people in their group. We’ve now made this easier by allowing group managers to also view individual users within the group, making it simpler to review all reported time entries.
Schedule updated!
Lately, we’ve been working on improving the schedule. For example, we’ve added the ability to set recurring schedule entries to every 5th and 6th week.
We’ve also improved the handling when copying schedule entries. All this to create a schedule that is as good and easy to work with as possible.
If you have more ideas or features you’re missing, we’d be grateful if you got in touch!
Set local time zone
We’ve now solved a problem for those of you who administer Nuba from abroad and are not in the same time zone as Sweden. This means you can now work with work periods and scheduling without having to adjust times according to the time difference.
You set your time zone by clicking on “Settings” in the lower right corner and then “Local time zone”
The time bank is getting even better.
We have now launched a number of requested improvements to the time bank, including how absence is handled. The time bank is calculated every night when the previous day is over.
Work periods of the absence type are not included when the time bank is calculated. If the latest reported work period is of the absence type, the time bank is paused until a check-in occurs at a location that is not of the absence type.
This means that if a user checks in to, for example, “Sick” or “Vacation”, the time bank is paused and shows the value that the user had before the absence began.
Not just the Right Place, Now also the Right Time!
Now you have even better control that everyone is in place on time. As an administrator, you can now receive push notifications on your mobile when someone scheduled for a location hasn’t checked in on time. To test how it works, simply update the app to the latest version and start scheduling your staff. If you want to turn off/on this feature, you can do so in the app under “Settings” ->”push notifications”.
